Florida Driver’s License Exams: English Only

Florida driver’s license exams will be offered in English only starting February 6, 2026. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will offer Driver’s License Knowledge and Skill Examinations exclusively in English from that date forward. Officials previously offered exams in Spanish, but they will no longer offer that option. This change also applies to Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) examinations.
What This Means for Drivers
Drivers who are more comfortable testing in Spanish should plan ahead and prepare accordingly before the new policy takes effect. If you have questions about how this change may affect you or a family member, our office can help.
